Enterprise Architecture

This is what is called a collaborative book, for the development of the Sub-Architectures of the Enterprise Architecture. An Enterprise Architecture (EA) is not a one time single document, but rather a collection of models and principles that provide a mental model of organization. Architecture defines the relationships between entities within an organization, just as an architectural blueprint for a building shows the interconnection between parts. Without a blueprint, one can't determine the result of changes made to any individual part on the whole. Enterprise Architecture's goal is to remove inhibitors to change, so an organization can continue achieve its objectives in a constantly changing environment.

Enterprise Architecture, consists of the following four sub-architectures

  • Business Architecture (EBA)
  • Information Architecture (EIA)
  • Application Architecture (EAA)
  • Technical Architecture (ETA)

You will find information on each of these areas expand over time. We are currently focused on the ETA.
