Enterprise Information Architecture translates the Enterprise Business Architecture (EBA) into informational strategies. This is where the classic MIS definition is employed, determining who needs what information when; sometimes called the information supply chain.
- Estabishes principles that ensure consistent information management.
- Specifies critical information elements within the organization, defines flows, and links them to business events.
- Provides the framework that is supported by the Enterprise Technical Architecture (ETA)
