Must have completed with a B or better in General Biology, General
Chemistry, and Cell and Molecular Biology (or enrolled in Cell
and Molecular Biology).
Work hours vary with work load.

• Dress
appropriately for work (closed toed shoes, lab coat, name badge).
• Follow and be an example of proper laboratory safety rules (see attached
rule sheet).
• Be responsible for filling out and turning in time cards on time.
• Attend Chemical Hygiene Plan training.
• Be evaluated at the end of the semester by their supervisor on their
work efforts.
• Preparation of laboratory experiments.
• Preparation of solutions.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Provide suggestions on improvements of laboratory exercises.
• Perform cleaning duties. Such as cleanup of glassware, chemicals, solutions,
equipment, and proper placement of waste.
• Perform specialized duties as assigned by supervisor.
