Eric Ordorica was 5-for-12
(.417) at the plate during the University of British Columbia
Tournament where Azusa Pacific defeated host British Columbia
and lost twice to No. 13-ranked Albertson ID. He scored 2 runs,
hit a home run and had 1 stolen base. He has now hit safely in
7 straight games and in 21 of 23 games this season. Ordorica
was selected as the NAIA Region II Baseball Player of the Week.

Nick Padilla recorded a
1-hit complete-game shutout at British Columbia last week to
end UBC's 8-game winning streak. Padilla gave up only 1 walk
while striking out 8 batters. Padilla was named as the NAIA Region
II Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

In 2 games last week, Eric
Ordorica raised his batting average 30 points (.391 to .421)
with a 6-for-8 performance ivs. The Master's. In the first game,
a completion of a suspended game from last month, Ordorica was
4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run and 7 RBIs. In the
regular game, he had 2 more hits, including a game-tying 2-run
single. For the week, he had 9 RBIs. Ordorica was chosen as the
NAIA Region II Baseball Player of the Week.

Lessa allowed Cal Baptist to rally from a 9-0 deficit vs. Vanguard
by yielding just 1 run in 4.2 innings of relief work. In the
process he struck out 4 and did not walk a batter. Lessa was
selected as the NAIA Region II Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Victor Ambruso was 10-for-17
(.588) at the plate as No. 15-ranked Azusa Pacific won 3-of-4
games last week and remains in first place in the GSAC. Ambruso
hit 2 doubles, scored 4 runs, contributed 6 RBI and had 2 stolen
bases during the week. Ambruso was named as the NAIA Region II
Baseball Player of the Week.

last week, George Barnes had a 0.00 ERA. He gave up only 3 hits,
1 unearned run and 5 walks while striking out 5 batters. In the
loss to Point Loma he pitched 6 innings and left with a 3-1 lead.
He ended 3 innings with a strikeout looking, including once with
the bases loaded. Barnes was chosen as the NAIA Region II Baseball
Pitcher of the Week.

Joe Carnahan was 6-for-9 (.667)
at the plate as Vanguard split its doubleheader with Cal Baptist last
week. He recorded 6 runs, 3 doubles and 4 RBI. In the 24-7 win, Carnahan
was 5-for-6 (.833) at the plate with 3 doubles, 3 RBI and 5 runs. He had 1
RBI off of 1 hit and scored a run, as the Lions lost the second game 8-7.
Carnahan was named the NAIA Region II Baseball Player of the Week.

In 8 innings of work, Matt
Canada gave up only 1 hit while striking out 7 to earn 1 of No.
14-ranked Azusa Pacific's 3 conference wins last week. He tossed
a no-hitter for 4.1 innings, then allowed just 4 runners to reach
base as the Cougars defeated Westmont 13-0. Canada was chosen
as the NAIA Region II Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Last week Steve Ferreira
continued his recent hot streak in which he has batted .667 over
the past 8 games. For the week, he was 11-for-16 (.688) at the
plate with 4 runs, 3 doubles, 1 home run and 3 RBI. In the win
over Chapman, he was 4-for-5 at the plate including a home run.
Ferreira collected 3 doubles in his 6-hit performance in a doubleheader
split with Westmont. Ferreira was named the NAIA Region II Baseball
Player of the Week.

Matt Canada pitched 8 shutout
innings in No. 15-ranked Azusa Pacific's first win of the doubleheader
sweep at Vanguard. He gave up 5 hits and 1 walk while striking
out 2. Canada has run his scoreless innings streak to 16 consecutive
innings and has allowed just 6 hits and 1 walk in that time.
Canada was chosen as the NAIA Region II Baseball Pitcher of the
Week.

Last week Chad Chop hit
3 home runs and had a hit in each of Vanguard's 5 road games.
He hit an impressive 12-for-22 (.545) at the plate with 7 runs,
1 double, 3 home runs and 14 RBI as the Lions won 4-of-5 games.
Chop drove in the tying run in the 1-run win at Concordia and
scored the winning run at UC San Diego. Chop delivered a 3-run
blast against Concordia, a solo shot in the first game against
Biola, and a grand slam in the Biola nightcap to help the Lions
stay in the playoff hunt. In addition to his offensive outburst,
Chop earned the win on the mound against UC San Diego with an
inning in relief. Chop was named the NAIA Region II Baseball
Player of the Week.

Sophomore ~ RHP ~ Dundee, Oregon
Marcus Harris pitched a
complete game win in Vanguard's opener against Biola. He earned
his sixth win of the season as the Lions outlasted the Eagles
7-6. He scattered 13 hits and struck out 3 batters in 9 innings.
He also pitched a scoreless inning at CS Fullerton earlier in
the week. Harris was selected as the NAIA Region II Baseball
Pitcher of the Week.

In a doubleheader sweep
of No. 18-ranked Azusa Pacific, Matt Mamula was 5-for-6 (.833)
at the plate with 2 RBI, a run and a double. He was 3-for-3 in
the Crusaders 7-2 nightcap win. Mamula was also chosen as the
NAIA Region II Baseball Player of the Week.
