September 3, 2007
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
DANIELLE DINTINO ~ Vanguard University
Freshman ~ 5-4 ~ Forward ~ Irvine, California
Freshman forward Danielle Dintino scored 2 goals and assisted on another as Vanguard opened the season with a win, loss and a tie.  In the loss at Dominican, she scored Vanguard's lone goal.  In the win against Oregon Tech Dintino had another goal.  In the tie with Cal State San Bernardino, she assisted on the game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation to send the game to a scoreless double overtime.  Dintino was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER
LAUREN GREGSTON ~ Biola University
Freshman ~ 5-7 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Lake Forest, California
Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Gregston recorded 4 saves in Biola's 1-0 win over Oregon Tech. She collected her first collegiate shutout in only her second game.  Gregston was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
JACQUELYN WITZ ~ California Baptist University
Freshman ~ 5-6 ~ Midfielder ~ Temecula, California
Freshman midfielder Jacquelyn Witz had 2 goals and an assist in a pair of California Baptist wins last week.  She had a goal in each game and assisted on the game-winner against Southern Oregon.  Witz was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER
JILL COLFER-MARTINSON ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ 5-9 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Sacramento, California
Senior goalkeeper Jill Colfer-Martinson broke the Azusa Pacific career shutouts record, recording back-to-back cleansheets for her 36th and then record-breaking 37th career shutouts. Colfer-Martinson has not allowed a goal since an early first-half score on Aug. 28, when Azusa Pacific battled to a 1-1 tie against CS Dominguez Hills, a streak of 282 consecutive scoreless minutes. Colfer-Martinson was named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

September 17, 2007
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
DANIELLE DINTINO ~ Vanguard University
Freshman ~ 5-5 ~ Midfielder/Forward ~ Irvine, California
Freshman Danielle Dintino recorded her first collegiate hat trick, scoring all 3 of Vanguard's goals unassisted in a 3-0 win over Trinity International IL. She also scored a goal in the Lions' 3-0 win over Oklahoma Christian.  Vanguard and both of its opponents for the week received votes in the most recent NAIA women's soccer ranking.  Dintino was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER

Sophomore ~ 5-5 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Oceanside, California
Sophomore Jillian Foss notched a pair of shutouts in goal for the Lions, playing all 180 minutes. She had 6 saves in the 2 games, helping Vanguard improve to
5-1-1 on the season.  Foss was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
LINDSEY MERRETT ~ California Baptist University
Junior ~ 5-7 ~ Forward ~ Riverside, California
Junior Lindsey Merrett scored her first collegiate hat trick in the first 25 minutes of California Baptist's 4-0 victory over La Sierra. Merrett was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Sophomore ~ 5-5 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Oceanside, California
Sophomore Jillian Foss recorded her third straight shutout this season, collecting 5 saves in No. 16-ranked Vanguard's 1-0 overtime win against Westmont.  Foss was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
TRINA McGEE ~ Concordia University
Sophomore ~ 5-7 ~ Forward ~ Yorba Linda, California
Sophomore Trina McGee scored 5 goals, half of her team total, as Concordia won both of its conference games last week.  McGee scored 2 goals at Hope International and then netted her first career hat trick against The Master's.  McGee was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER
LAUREN GREGSTON ~ Biola University
Freshman ~ 5-7 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Lake Forest, California
Freshman Gregston was strong in net as Biola recorded a tie and a loss against a pair of NAIA Top-10 ranked teams this week. Against No. 10 Vanguard, Gregston made 3 saves in a scoreless overtime draw. At No. 5 Point Loma Nazarene, the Biola netminder made 11 saves and allowed just two goals in Biola's 2-1 loss. Gregston was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
THERESA BROAD ~ Azusa Pacific University
Sophomore ~ 5-8 ~ Forward ~ Walnut, California
Sophomore Theresa Broad scored No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific's first 2 goals in a 3-0 shutout over Westmont, then added an insurance goal in a 2-0 win over California Baptist. Broad has scored in each of Azusa Pacific's 4 GSAC contests this season, with 6 of her 8 goals on the season coming in conference play.  Broad was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER
JILL COLFER-MARTINSON ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ 5-9 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Sacramento, California
Senior Jill Colfer-Martinson posted back-to-back shutouts over Westmont and California Baptist, helping lift the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific into sole possession of first place in the GSAC standings. Colfer-Martinson, who owns the Cougar career record for shutouts with 40, has blanked 3 straight opponents and now has 6 shutouts on the season. With Colfer-Martinson in goal, Azusa Pacific has shut out 7 straight opponents at home, part of a 30-game home unbeaten streak.  Colfer-Martinson was named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
LIZZY BENDRICK ~ California Baptist University
Freshman ~ 5-2 ~ Forward ~ San Diego, California
Freshman Lizzy Bendrick recorded a goal and an assist as unranked California Baptist won both of its GSAC games last week.  She assisted on the game-winner at No. 5-ranked Point Loma Nazarene.  Bendrick then scored the game-winner against Fresno Pacific with a 30-yard shot over the keeper. Bendrick was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER
SUZANNE TORRES ~ Concordia University
Junior ~ 5-10 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Riverside, California
Junior goalkeeper Suzanne Torres made 15 saves and didn't allow a goal as No. 10-ranked Concordia registered a win and a tie in GSAC play last week.  In the win against No. 18 Vanguard, she made 3 saves while recording a 4-0 shutout.  In the 0-0 double-overtime tie at Westmont, Torres had 12 saves in 84 minutes of play.  Torres was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER
TAYLOR CALLAN ~ Westmont College
Junior ~ 5-7 ~ Midfielder ~ Portland, Oregon
Junior Taylor Callan scored 3 goals last week as Westmont won both its conference match-ups.  She scored from 35 yards out against both Biola and San Diego Christian.  She had a second goal against Biola on an unassisted corner kick.

Senior ~ 5-9 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Sacramento, California
Senior goalkeeper Jill Colfer-Martinson tallied 4 saves and posted a pair of shutouts over nationally-ranked GSAC opponents No. 9 Concordia and No. 17 Point Loma Nazarene, running her program-record career shutout total to 43. Colfer-Martinson has shut out 6 of the Cougars' 8 GSAC opponents this year.  Colfer-Martinson was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Freshman ~ 5-6 ~ Midfielder ~ Temecula, California
Freshman Jacquelyn Witz factored in all 3 goals for No. 17-ranked California Baptist last week.  She scored in both games as the Lancers wrapped up second place in the GSAC.  Witz scored the first goal against Biola and then assisted on the game-winner.  She scored California Baptist's lone goal in the 1-1 double-overtime tie with Westmont.  Witz was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Senior ~ 5-9 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Sacramento, California
Senior goalkeeper Jill Colfer-Martinson stopped 5 shots on the week, running her consecutive scoreless minutes streak to 496. Colfer-Martinson, already Azusa Pacific's career shutouts leader with 45, ran her personal shutout streak to 5 straight games, giving her 11 on the season, 8 of them in the 10-game GSAC portion of the schedule.  Colfer-Martinson was selected as the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
